Terms & Conditions

Terms for using the ChevronLog Removals website and requesting moving quotes.

Last updated: 7 October 2026

These Terms & Conditions apply to the use of the ChevronLog Removals website, requests for moving quotes and, where expressly incorporated into a confirmed booking, the provision of removalist and related services.

By using this website or submitting an enquiry, you acknowledge these terms. A website enquiry or quote request does not by itself create a confirmed booking or guarantee availability.

1. About ChevronLog Removals

ChevronLog Removals provides moving and related transport services from the Gold Coast, Queensland, including local, long-distance and selected interstate relocations.

References in these terms to "ChevronLog", "we", "us" or "our" mean the business providing the relevant service.

References to "you", "customer" or "client" mean the person or business requesting or booking the service.

2. Website Information

This website provides general information about ChevronLog Removals, our service areas and the types of moving services that may be available.

Website information is intended as general guidance only and may not reflect the exact requirements, availability, price or conditions applicable to a particular move.

Information about travel times, routes, access conditions, suburbs and destinations may change because of traffic, roadworks, weather, construction, building rules or other circumstances outside our control.

3. Requesting a Quote

You may request a moving quote through our website, telephone, email or another approved communication channel.

An online quote request is an enquiry only. It does not automatically create a booking, reserve a date or require ChevronLog to perform the requested service.

A booking is only confirmed when ChevronLog expressly confirms acceptance of the move and any required booking conditions have been satisfied.

4. Preliminary Quotes

Quotes prepared from information supplied online, by telephone or by message may be preliminary.

The quoted amount or estimated duration may change if the actual circumstances differ from the information provided.

Relevant factors may include:

5. Customer Information

You should provide accurate and complete information when requesting a quote or booking a move.

This includes information about:

Materially incomplete or inaccurate information may affect the quote, required labour, vehicle choice, timing or ability to perform the service safely.

6. Access to the Property

You are responsible for providing lawful and reasonably safe access to the pickup and delivery locations.

Where applicable, you should arrange:

If access is materially different from what was disclosed, the move may take longer or require a different arrangement.

7. Parking

You should inform us of known parking restrictions at both the pickup and delivery locations.

Where lawful parking is not available close to the property, additional carrying distance may affect the time required to complete the move.

ChevronLog does not require or encourage drivers to park unlawfully or in a manner that creates an unreasonable safety risk.

8. Stairs and Lifts

Please disclose stairs and lift requirements before the move.

Where a building requires a service lift reservation, you are responsible for arranging that booking unless otherwise agreed in writing.

If a booked lift is unavailable, restricted or delayed, additional time may be required.

9. Basement and Height Restrictions

You should confirm the height and access limitations of underground car parks before moving day.

A removal vehicle may not be able to enter a basement even where passenger vehicles can access it.

If the moving vehicle cannot use the expected loading area, an alternative loading arrangement may be necessary.

10. Driveways and Difficult Access

For properties with steep, narrow, unsealed or unusually long driveways, please provide accurate information before booking.

Photos or videos may be requested where access is uncertain.

ChevronLog may decline to drive a vehicle into an area that the driver reasonably considers unsafe or unsuitable for the vehicle.

Where safe direct access is unavailable, alternative loading arrangements may be discussed.

11. Customer Responsibilities Before Moving Day

Unless packing services have been expressly agreed, customers should prepare their belongings before the scheduled moving time.

This generally includes:

12. Packing Services

If packing or unpacking services are requested, the scope and any additional charges should be confirmed before the service is performed.

Customers should identify fragile, valuable or unusual items before packing begins.

13. Customer-Packed Boxes

Where customers pack their own boxes, boxes should be reasonably suitable for transport and not overloaded.

Fragile contents should be appropriately protected and boxes should be securely closed.

Nothing in this section limits rights that cannot lawfully be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law.

14. Fragile Items

Please identify fragile or particularly delicate items before loading.

This may include glass, mirrors, artwork, electronics, antiques or other items requiring special handling.

Where specialised packing, crating or equipment is reasonably required, this should be discussed before moving day.

15. Heavy and Oversized Items

Items that are unusually heavy, large or difficult to move should be disclosed before the quote is finalised.

Examples may include:

Special equipment, additional labour or a separate service arrangement may be required.

16. Items We May Decline to Transport

ChevronLog may decline to transport items that cannot be lawfully or safely carried using the available vehicle, equipment or personnel.

This may include dangerous, prohibited or inadequately disclosed items.

Customers should notify us before moving day if they are unsure whether an item can be transported.

17. Dangerous Goods

Customers must not knowingly present dangerous or unlawful goods for transport without prior disclosure and agreement.

Examples may include certain fuels, explosives, hazardous chemicals, compressed gases or other regulated materials.

Where transportation is prohibited or unsafe, ChevronLog may refuse the item.

18. Valuables and Important Documents

Customers are encouraged to personally retain items such as:

If you require transport of unusually valuable items, please discuss this before booking.

19. Inventory

The customer should provide a reasonable description of the volume and type of belongings to be transported.

If the actual inventory is substantially larger or materially different from the information used to prepare the quote, additional time, labour, vehicle capacity or a revised service arrangement may be required.

20. Moving Dates and Times

Requested dates and times are subject to availability and confirmation.

Estimated arrival and completion times may be affected by:

We will aim to communicate material delays where reasonably practicable.

21. Travel and Long-Distance Moves

Long-distance and interstate moves may require additional travel planning.

Route, timing and delivery estimates may be affected by road conditions, lawful driving and rest requirements, weather and unexpected incidents.

An estimated journey time is not a guarantee of an exact arrival time unless expressly agreed otherwise.

22. Waiting Time

If the moving team is required to wait because access is unavailable, keys are delayed, settlement has not occurred, lifts are unavailable or another customer-controlled issue prevents loading or unloading, additional time may form part of the service charge where this was disclosed or agreed.

Any applicable charging arrangement should be confirmed as part of the booking.

23. Changes to the Move

If you need to change the date, destination, inventory, access arrangements or scope of the move, please notify us as soon as possible.

A material change may require a revised quote or new availability confirmation.

24. Additional Stops

Additional pickup or delivery stops should be disclosed before moving day where possible.

An unplanned additional stop may affect timing, route and price.

25. Storage

If storage forms part of the requested service, storage arrangements, access rights, charges and any third-party facility conditions should be confirmed separately.

Where a third-party storage provider is used, that provider may apply its own terms and conditions.

26. Payments

Payment methods, timing and any deposit requirements should be confirmed when the booking is accepted.

Customers should not assume that a date has been reserved solely because a quote has been issued.

Where a deposit or booking payment is required, the applicable cancellation and rescheduling conditions should be disclosed before payment.

27. Deposits

If a deposit is required, the amount and purpose of the deposit should be communicated before the booking is confirmed.

Any refund, cancellation or rescheduling conditions applying to that deposit must operate subject to applicable Australian Consumer Law requirements.

28. Cancellations and Rescheduling

If you need to cancel or reschedule a confirmed move, please contact ChevronLog as soon as reasonably possible.

Any cancellation or rescheduling fee must be consistent with the booking terms provided to you and applicable law.

ChevronLog will not rely on this section to remove rights or remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded.

29. Cancellation by ChevronLog

In unusual circumstances, ChevronLog may need to reschedule or cancel a service because of safety concerns, vehicle problems, severe weather, road closures, staff unavailability or other significant circumstances.

Where reasonably practicable, we will contact the customer and discuss available alternatives.

Any rights or remedies available under applicable consumer law remain unaffected.

30. Weather and Safety

ChevronLog may adjust, delay or pause moving activities where weather or other conditions create an unreasonable safety risk.

This may include severe storms, flooding, unsafe road conditions, extreme weather or unsafe access at a property.

Safety decisions will be made having regard to the circumstances at the time.

31. Damage and Service Concerns

If you believe an item or property has been damaged during a ChevronLog service, please notify us as soon as reasonably possible and provide relevant details.

Where useful, please provide photographs and information identifying the item and circumstances.

We will review the matter having regard to the facts, the service performed and applicable legal obligations.

32. Australian Consumer Law

Nothing in these Terms & Conditions excludes, restricts or modifies any consumer guarantee, right or remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded, restricted or modified under the Australian Consumer Law or other applicable legislation.

Where the Australian Consumer Law applies, services must be provided with due care and skill, be reasonably fit for any disclosed purpose and be supplied within a reasonable time where no time has otherwise been agreed.

33. Limitation Clauses and Non-Excludable Rights

Any limitation, exclusion or qualification contained in these terms applies only to the maximum extent permitted by law.

Nothing on this website should be interpreted as excluding liability where exclusion is prohibited by law.

34. Estimates of Time and Distance

Travel times and moving durations displayed or discussed before a booking are estimates unless expressly stated otherwise.

Actual times may vary because of traffic, access, inventory, road conditions, waiting time and other circumstances.

35. Website Availability

We aim to keep the ChevronLog website accessible and accurate but do not guarantee uninterrupted website availability.

The website may occasionally be unavailable because of maintenance, technical problems, hosting issues or circumstances outside our control.

36. Website Content

We may update website content, service descriptions, locations and general information from time to time.

Website pages should not be treated as a guaranteed offer to perform a service at a particular price, date or location.

37. Maps, Routes and Local Information

Information about roads, routes, suburbs, parking, access and infrastructure is provided as general planning information.

Conditions can change, and customers should follow current road signs, building instructions and official government information where relevant.

38. Third-Party Websites

This website may contain links to government agencies, review platforms, maps, social networks or other third-party websites.

ChevronLog is not responsible for the content, availability or independent terms of third-party websites.

39. Intellectual Property

Unless otherwise stated, website text, branding, original photographs, graphics and other original material published by ChevronLog are protected by applicable intellectual property laws.

Content may not be reproduced for commercial purposes without permission except where permitted by law.

40. Customer Reviews

Customer reviews displayed on our website should reflect genuine customer feedback.

We may moderate material for privacy, relevance, unlawful content or technical reasons, but we should not materially alter the meaning of genuine feedback.

41. Photographs and Case Studies

Moving photographs, project examples and customer case studies may be published where ChevronLog has an appropriate basis to do so.

Private addresses, identifying customer information or identifiable photographs should not be published without appropriate permission.

42. Privacy

Personal information submitted through this website is handled in accordance with the ChevronLog Privacy Policy and applicable privacy requirements.

Please read our Privacy Policy for information about enquiries, analytics, cookies, data storage, retention and privacy requests.

43. Electronic Communications

By submitting an enquiry, you authorise ChevronLog to contact you using the contact details you provide for purposes connected with your enquiry, quote or booking.

Marketing communications, where used, remain subject to applicable consent and opt-out requirements.

44. Unfair Contract Terms

These Terms & Conditions are intended to operate fairly and reasonably.

No term is intended to create a significant imbalance in rights and obligations in a manner prohibited by Australian law.

If a term is found to be void, unenforceable or unlawful, the remaining provisions will continue to operate to the extent permitted by law.

45. Governing Law

These website terms are governed by the laws applicable in Queensland, Australia, subject to any mandatory laws that apply because of the location or circumstances of the customer or service.

46. Changes to These Terms

ChevronLog may update these Terms & Conditions when our services, website, booking arrangements or legal obligations change.

The most recent update date should be displayed at the top of this page.

Terms applying to a confirmed booking should be those provided or incorporated when the relevant agreement was made, subject to any lawful later variation agreed between the parties.
